A Transportation Manager is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems. Remote position, preferably working in the Eastern time zone. This role is responsible for managing our Americas transportation 3PL partner to ensure strong performance of our North American parcel, less-than-truckload (LTL), truckload (TL), and drayage modes.

responsibilities:
- Manage and integrate 3PL transportation management systems (TMS) with internal operations.
- Drive KPI performance: on-time pickup/delivery, shipment quality, cost, and cargo claims.
- Conduct shipment analytics to reduce freight costs, optimize routes, and improve mode selection.
- Lead freight optimization and cost-saving projects with 3PL and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, logistics, procurement, and compliance.
- Create executive reports/presentations for leadership.
- Ensure compliance with US-MX trade documentation and customs regulations.
- Apply knowledge of INCOTERMS, commercial docs, and customs documents (Carta Porte, BoL, etc.).
- Perform end-to-end RFP management.
- strong analytical, time management, and decision-making skills.
- TMS system experience (SAP, S4HANA preferred); implementation experience is a plus.
- strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent team-building and communication skills (Spanish a plus).
- Knowledge of freight forecasting and financials.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Excel Macros, DAX, or dashboarding.
- SAP expertise.
- Exposure to South American transportation.
- Process improvement training (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
- Bachelor's or Master's in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or Engineering (or 10 years of experience in lieu).
- 5-10 years of transportation management in North America.
