A Senior Project Engineer is needed for a major U.S. defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics in the Windsor Locks, CT area. This Senior Project Engineer responsible for leading cross-functional teams and managing technical execution, cost, and schedule of LEO and defense-related space system projects, while serving as the primary technical liaison between engineering, program management, and external customers.

responsibilities:
- Support development and delivery of environmental, life support, and active thermal control systems for LEO, DOD, and Science programs.
- Collaborate with Integrated Product Development Teams (IPDTs).
- Take technical direction from Senior Development Team Leaders and Program Chief Engineers.
- Serve as the engineering lead for planning, execution, and tracking/reporting of technical project aspects.
- Act as key interface between program management and engineering teams.
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams.
- Perform Control Account Manager (CAM) duties (cost, scope, schedule).
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field + 5 years of relevant experience, or
- Master's degree in STEM + 3 years of experience, or
- No degree + 9 years of relevant experience.
