A R&D Packaging Engineer for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed in the Fremont, CA area. This role involves leading the design, development, and compliance of medical device packaging and labeling solutions while collaborating cross-functionally to support EU MDR implementation, drive continuous improvement, and manage projects in a regulated environment.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a highly regulated industry.
- Experience in packaging design development within medical device, biotech, or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Proven ability to resolve packaging-related design and process issues in commercial products.
- Familiarity with design controls and packaging industry standards (e.g., ISO 11607, ASTM, ISTA).
- Knowledge of database-driven labeling systems, label creation, and IFU (Instructions for Use) development.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and communication of findings.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- strong technical and project management abilities to deliver projects on time and within budget.
