job summary:
A Lease Construction Manager is needed for an American social media conglomerate corporation. Remote work, Eastern OH preferred. The Lease Construction Manager oversees the onsite construction, commissioning, and turnover of data center fit-out projects in leased facilities across North America, managing contractors and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, safe, and cost-effective project delivery.

responsibilities:

Coordinate with Contractors, Landlords, Consultants, and Cross-Functional Partners.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders including vendors, landlords, and internal teams.

Identify and align cross-functional improvements in efficiency, innovation, and accountability.

Assist with project planning and scoping by defining, sequencing, and packaging work scopes.

Support the creation and upkeep of project schedules with scheduling and project controls teams.

Manage cost changes and negotiate pricing with support from cost and scheduling teams.

Track project schedule risks and escalate issues to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Conduct monthly WIP (Work-in-Place) walks for invoicing and ongoing site walkthroughs to monitor progress and confirm handover conditions.

Lead or assist in managing relationships with contractors and designers.

Help develop capital project budgets and provide ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) cost estimates.

Maintain monthly CapEx forecasting for all project-related costs.

Analyze weekly project status reports (financial, schedule, and quality).

Manage MOPs (Methods of Procedure) for retrofit/remedy work in active data centers.

Coordinate interactions between Contractors, company teams, and 3rd party QA/QC personnel.

Oversee and ensure project closeout processes are complete.

Model and promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, partnership, and teamwork.

Travel up to 50% to various project sites across North America.



Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  
  
  
  
• 7-10 years of experience in construction, operations, maintenance, or project planning.
  
  
  
  
• Direct experience with data centers or mission-critical infrastructure.
  
  
  
  
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and connectivity systems.
  
  
  
  
• Capable of managing multiple projects in various phases.
  
  
  
  
• Experience with commissioning of new builds and retrofits in leased data center environments.
  
  
  
  
• Familiar with CPM scheduling and tools like Primavera P6.
  
  
  
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
