Large utility is looking for a GIS Compliance Specialist in one of several locations in MI (Listed Below). This position will oversees the compliance, tracking, and analysis of gas leak surveys and maintenance for gas distribution systems, ensuring regulatory adherence, operational integrity, and continuous process improvement. responsibilities:
- Schedule, monitor, and analyze gas distribution leak surveys and leaks using paper and digital processes.
- Track and monitor open gas leaks (above and below ground).
- Maintain records, logs, and spreadsheets for tracking inspections, leaks, and repairs.
- Evaluate processes and programs to ensure continuous improvement.
- Generate and share reports and technical documents with stakeholders.
- Handle data entry and develop proficiency in SAP, Inspection Manager, Power BI, BOBJ, PowerApps, and ArcGIS Online.
- Relay important or emergency issues using critical thinking and escalate to appropriate personnel when needed.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and contribute to the safety of coworkers and the public.
- Proficiency with SAP, SIMS, Inspection Manager, Power BI, and GIS tools.
- Knowledge of Global Leak Process.
- strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- Associate's or
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in gas distribution or utility services.
