Responsibilities
We are seeking a Service and Parts Advisor to serve as the critical link between our customers and diesel technicians, collaborating closely with the maintenance manager. This role ensures exceptional customer service by engaging with customers to identify issues and concerns with their tractors, determining repair timelines, and communicating these to the diesel technicians. Additionally, the advisor will provide customers with precise repair costs and detailed descriptions of services rendered.
- Consults with diesel technicians to determine necessary repairs.
- Ensures accurate billing by capturing all labor hours and parts; guarantees invoices provide a detailed description of services rendered and parts used.
- Keeps the management team, business partner managers, and safety personnel informed about the repair status of tractors.
- Collaborates with diesel technicians to ensure they accurately record all labor hours and parts in industry-specific software and close out work tickets promptly.
- Schedules inspections for prospective Independent Contractor tractors and communicates pass/fail results to safety and recruiting teams.
- Coordinates driver maintenance requests for both existing drivers and prospective Independent Contractors.
- Acts as a liaison between the truck shop and accounting department on invoicing and billing matters.
- Prepares and calculates repair estimates; processes payments efficiently.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
