- Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or similar role in litigation; commercial litigation experience preferred.
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent; Paralegal certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with legal software for document management and court filing.
- Communication: strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organization: Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in preparing documents and entering data.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Assist with managing case files, organizing and filing pleadings, discovery documents, and correspondence.
- Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including briefs, memos, motions, and discovery responses.
- Court Filings: Prepare and submit electronic filings to state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
- Calendar Management: Schedule appointments, hearings, and depositions, and maintain an updated calendar for the attorney, tracking deadlines and key case milestones.
- Client Communication: Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff regarding case updates, meeting arrangements, and documentation.
- Research Assistance: Conduct basic legal and factual research as needed to support case preparation.
- Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks such as managing phone calls, emails, and other correspondence, organizing case materials, and maintaining confidentiality.
