We are seeking an experienced General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. This 100% in-office role involves managing key aspects of the accounting process, including month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to help support our financial operations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and post journal entries for various general ledger accounts.
• Reconcile GL accounts, including cash, fixed assets, accruals, and prepaids.
• Analyze financial data to ensure integrity and consistency across accounts.
• Support financial reporting by preparing periodic reports and analyses.
• Assist in preparing documentation for audits and work directly with auditors.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in implementing solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related questions and issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Skills: strong knowledge of GAAP; proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred); advanced Excel skills.
• Traits: Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
