Responsibilities
- Regularly update underwriting processes to ensure they remain current, and consistently applied with precision and reliability.
- Continuously assess and improve the underwriting workflow to meet organizational standards and achieve quality objectives.
- Refine underwriting guidelines to minimize early delinquency rates and enhance decision-making accuracy.
- Analyze customer financial information thoroughly, taking all relevant variables into account to inform prudent lending decisions.
- Lead and support a team of underwriting analysts, promoting a culture focused on precision, responsibility, and ongoing development.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute initiatives that drive greater efficiency and effectiveness in the underwriting process.
- Manage the underwriting software and tools, strenghting vendor partnerships to ensure smooth operation and explore opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies by regularly reviewing and adjusting underwriting standards to mitigate risk.
