As a Construction Accountant, you will be a key player in the financial management of our client’s construction projects, contributing directly to the organization’s success. In this role, you’ll oversee project budgets, manage job costing, handle progress billings, and ensure accurate financial reporting to keep projects on track and within budget. You’ll work closely with project managers and finance teams to deliver precise and timely financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring expenses.
• Accurately track and allocate costs to specific projects to ensure budget adherence and profitability.
• Prepare and process accurate and timely progress billings for ongoing projects.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of project accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
• Prepare and reconcile construction loan draws and ensure compliance with lender requirements.
• Manage change order documentation, tracking financial impact on project budgets.
• Compile and analyze project financial data to prepare reports for project managers and leadership.
• Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and construction industry regulations.
• Work closely with project managers and other departments to facilitate accurate project accounting.
