A New York-based firm is seeking an experienced Controller to manage all accounting and financial operations, ensuring compliance and accuracy. This full-time, in-house role involves overseeing general journal entries, loan processing, and financial statements, while providing strategic insights to senior leadership.

salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Perform complex general journal entries, manage intricate loan entries, and oversee cash flow, A/R, and A/P.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct financial statement reviews, lead month- and year-end close processes, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
• Team and Process Management: Supervise an accounting team, mentor staff, and develop internal controls for financial data accuracy.
• Auditing and Compliance: Prepare for audits and stay updated on GAAP and industry standards.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to guide business decisions.

Skills

AR (3 years of experience is preferred)

AP (1 year of experience is preferred)

Accounting (3 years of experience is preferred)
