Responsibilities
As a Customer Care Specialist, job duties include:
- Answer customer calls promptly, greet customers warmly, and maintain a professional and helpful demeanor to create a positive first impression.
- Verify customer identity by requesting personal information and cross-referencing it with stored data to ensure confidentiality and legal compliance.
- Listen attentively to customers’ concerns, allowing them to fully explain issues, and ask clarifying questions to gain a complete understanding of their needs. Handle upset customers with composure and empathy.
- Adapt communication style (rate of speech, tone, inflection, etc.) to match the customer's needs, ensuring clear understanding and comfort.
- Address customer concerns directly by taking actions such as issuing fee rebates, activating/replacing cards, ordering checks, updating information, and processing stop payments.
- 2+ years of previous customer service working in a banking or financial environment.
- Proficiency with phone and computer systems, including Microsoft Outlook and banking software.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
