virology lab intern - summer 2025.

In partnership with a major Life Science organization, we are seeking candidates for a summer internship with Virology team based out of Rockville, MD. This is a 10 week Summer internship for 2025. Expected start date is June 2nd through August 8th, 2025. This is a 40 hour/week - 100% onsite role.



salary: $19 - $25 per hour

Responsibilities

Your Role:

The intern will aid in the process improvements to assays that are ongoing within the Virology Department. The candidate will work with associate scientists and scientists to perform cell culture and qPCR-related assays to help bring these process improvements online with the Virology Operations lab. At the end of the internship, the candidate will be expected to create a poster presentation and present findings to other staff and leaders within the organization.

Who You Are:

• Ideal candidate will be a rising senior enrolled in Bachelor's level undergraduate program at a college or university majoring in Biology, Biochemistry, or other biology-related field of study.
• The candidate should have, at minimum, cell biology or microbiology lab work experience.
• It is preferred the candidate has undergraduate research experience.
• The candidate should have good communication skills.
• It is preferred the candidate is interested in exploring a career in scientific research or scientific industry.
