Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance benefits and coverage for medical services or prescriptions.
- Communicate with insurance providers to confirm eligibility, co-pays, and deductibles.
- Accurately document and update patient records in the system.
- Address inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams regarding benefits verification.
- Collaborate with billing and administrative teams to resolve discrepancies or issues.
- Previous experience in benefits verification or a related healthcare administrative role.
- Knowledge of insurance plans, coverage policies, and terminology.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in computer systems, including electronic medical records (EMR) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
