Responsibilities
Your Role:
Our lab supports assay development through commercial application of new and innovative service offerings within the biosafety testing space. You will work with a lead scientist on a project and maintain scientific integrity, learn technical work performed in the laboratory for either DNA/RNA extraction, qPCR, ddPCR, dPCR, electronic gels or other. You will make scientific observations, maintain appropriate documentation and operate instruments for experiments. Working with a lead scientist, you will learn problem solving and trouble shooting skills. All employees, whether permanent or temporary, must comply with company health and safety regulations and procedures. You will learn basic skills in applicable computer programs. This is a team based environment.
Who You Are:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate in their Junior or Senior year working towards a degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or related area
- Experience with pipetting, PCR, qPCR, and/or RNA/DNA extractions is preferred but not required
- Must have already taken Biology 101 and Chemistry 101
