To All Nonprofit Controllers and Finance/Accounting Managers!  Our client, a leader in the Nonprofit industry, is looking for a Senior Controller to joing their NYC office. This role will be reporting to the CFO/COO and will be responsible for revamping a lot of the F&A operations and procedures as well as leading a team. If you're strong with FP&A, Budgeting, Forecasting, Cash Flow and overall Accounting procedures and want to make a major impact at a leading Nonprofit agency, this will be a way for you to thread the needle for your next move in your career!

salary: $160,000 - $180,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to assist leadership in decision-making, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Prepare financial reports for board meetings, board committees, and other stakeholders
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads and senior leadership.
    • Develop and maintain long-term financial forecasts to support strategic planning.
    • Monitor performance against budget and present variance analysis to senior leadership.
      Accounting and Compliance
    • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and all regulatory requirements.
    • Manage annual audit, including 990 and tax and other nonprofit filings
  • Internal Controls and Process Improvement
    • With CFO, establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
    • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in accounting systems, processes, and policies.
    • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
