Randstad has an immediate opening for a Lab Technician to work in a Seed Quality Testing lab. This is a fast paced, team oriented work environment.  The work hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm This is a fully onsite position in St. Louis, MO. Relocation cost reimbursement is not available for this position. Local candidates are preferred.

salary: $21 - $22 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tasks such as seed dropping, crushing, planting, harvesting, counting, grinding, and reagent preparation.
• Assist in operating equipment for data generation.
• Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, ordering and stocking.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform tasks within the laboratory.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
•  Under the guidance of a FTE, conduct routine and preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Must Haves:

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
• Experience in a fast-paced and/or team-based environments.
• The ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
• The ability to stand while working for prolonged periods of time (4-6 hours).
• The ability to conduct repetitive tasks with hands, wrists, and arms.
