Position Overview: The Patient Financial Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of the hospital’s patient billing, accounts receivable, collections, and insurance follow-up processes. This critical role requires a strategic leader who can identify performance gaps, implement solutions, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including the No Surprise Act. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hospital revenue cycle management or as a revenue cycle consultant specializing in Patient Financial Services.
salary: $105,000 - $175,000 per year

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews and maintain existing departmental policies and procedures, adjusting them as needed to support regulatory compliance.
- Establish accountability in all areas of the accounts receivable ensuring all billing, follow up, denial and appeal activities occur timely.
- Identify performance gaps and implement solutions to improve cash collections.
- Serve as report expert for Experian power reporting. Publish monthly report to improve first pass yield and denials.
- Serve as the expert for the No Surprise Act to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulation.
- Publish monthly report on out of network plan reimbursement at the employer level.
- Participate in payer meetings and escalates issues to the appropriate agency when payers are not compliant with state regulation or CMS policy related to prompt payment, record request review and interest payments.
Requirements/Must Haves:
- Master's Degree in Health Care or Master's degree in Management, Business, Finance, or Accounting
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Manager role of Hospital Patient Financial Services OR equivalent experience as a revenue cycle consultant specific to Patient Financial Services.
