- 1-3 years in payroll tax compliance focused in USA in a large multistate environment
- Knowledge of Workday and ADP SmartCompliance preferred
- Ability to manage and prioritize various responsibilities with competing, short deadlines
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Very solid analytical skills and attention to detail
- Customer-orientated with the ability for trouble shooting and issue resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Outlook and Word

Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all payroll tax related governmental, regulatory and legislative requirements through quarterly balancing of payroll tax filings and tax jurisdictions through researching and resolving differences with taxing agencies; collecting refunds when applicable.
- Ensuring accurate employee wage and tax statements (W2’s).
- Handles the entries associated with the quarterly error and adjustment reports needed for quarterly processing.
- Review Corporate Data Sheets against Company ID Profile in YE website reports to ensure legal name and FEIN are the same.
- Review and validate SIT and Local account numbers between the Payroll & Tax Filing systems. Make necessary changes/set ups to the appropriate application. Validate SUI rates between the payroll system and third party vendor - research any differences and make updates as needed.
- Provides accurate and timely resolution for moderately complex payroll tax related discrepancies regarding paycheck earnings and deduction taxation, W2 explanations, payroll tax related escalations, military/visa exemptions, etc.
- Back up support for logging and uploading all incoming and outgoing mail, as well as the Payroll Tax Mailbox. Handles special projects as needed.
