- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field, or three years of equivalent experience in a multi-jurisdictional payroll environment.
- 3+ years of releated Payroll taxation experience; preferably in a manufacturing, warehousing, distribution or supply chain industry.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll concepts, compliance, practices, and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and/or software applications related to payroll tasks.
- Understanding of confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive data appropriately.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting concepts (e.g., accrual accounting, debits/credits, P&L).
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a proven work ethic.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Ability to work well both independently and within a team to accomplish goals.
- Professional Payroll Certification (FPC or CPP) or actively working toward certification.
- At least two years of experience processing payroll using SAP, including transaction management, OM/PA processing, report generation, and understanding wage types.
- Experience with SAP Payroll, standard SAP processes, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities
- Prepare EFTPS worksheets for federal tax filings.
- Process tax payments electronically or via phone.
- Prepare check requests and coupons for state and local taxes; manage payment and filing electronically.
- Research and reconcile tax liabilities and payments to the general ledger (monthly).
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets for Schedule B tax payments.
- Track taxable wages, taxes withheld, and taxes paid by reporting frequency in tax spreadsheets.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly 941, 940 (FUTA), and SUI tax returns and payments.
- Help reconcile annual state and local reporting.
- Support the reconciliation, printing, and mailing of W-2s.
- Create and maintain business process documentation for payroll tax filings and system updates.
- Communicate systems and tax changes to business users through effective written and verbal communication.
- Learn how various software and tools (e.g., TUBS, HRSPs) interact to update taxes and rates within SAP.
- Identify and resolve system errors within the SAP Payroll System in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with key corporate and divisional personnel.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
