Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain impactful relationships with clients and firm leadership.
- Provide training, supervision, and ongoing development of associates and seniors.
- Develop expertise in specialized firm niches, initiatives, and client needs.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of client tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Oversee accurate time tracking and billing for self and the team.
- Actively solicit new client relationships and participate in seminars to expand networking opportunities.
- Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, applying knowledge to client engagements.
- Collaborate with other tax professionals within the firm to optimize service delivery.
- Hold self and team accountable for achieving developmental and organizational goals.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance technical knowledge and industry expertise.
salary: $60 - $80 per hour

Responsibilities
- NOTE: Senior Tax Manager-this is for a January start date so all applicants MUST already reside in a commutable distance from the following cities ONLY: New York, NY., Philadelphia, PA., Iselin, NJ., Owings Mills, MD., Boston, Minneapolis, Dallas, Houston or Stamford, CT.
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Build impactful relationships with clients and maintain relationships with firm leadership.
- Cultivate expertise in and impart specialized knowledge congruent with firm niches, initiatives and needs.
- Take responsibility for accurate time and billing for self and team.
- Responsible for training, supervising and ongoing development of associates and seniors.
- Develop a working knowledge of the client's business, take responsibility for completing assigned tasks, and meet client deadlines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required
- 6+ years of recent (within 2 years) tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or public/Corporate mix
- CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification required
- Recent experience in preparing US based individual, partnership and entity returns
- Master’s Degree in Taxation or relevant field
- Experience using GoSystems or CCH Axcess tax software
- Experience working with clients in the production/entertainment industry
