Responsibilities
- Review, place, and maintain orders with correct payment method.
- Correspond with vendors to obtain information such as quotes, availability, negotiations, order status and resolve any discrepancies.
- Works with stakeholders to research and prepare bid specifications then issue bid requests to several potential vendors and suppliers.
- Establish payment terms with vendors as instructed.
- Confers with departmental and center representatives to determine specific purchasing needs and resolve issues as they arise.
- Working with Accounts Payable, vouchering purchases and reconciling billing problems with the suppliers and/or centers.
