Responsibilities
- Display teamwork, positive attitude and team spirit.
- Monitor one’s collection activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of work through ongoing communication, training and motivation.
- Conduct regular account reviews and make suggestions to resolve recurring issues.
- Maintain assigned portfolio of accounts.
- Prepare reports for Supervisor review as needed.
- Ensure daily assignments are maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures, resolving outstanding issues or discrepancies as necessary.
- Help ensure the team is meeting production goals, complying with company standards and federal collection laws and generally performing the essential functions of their position, maintaining schedules, establishing mutual goals for upcoming quarters.
- They review delinquent account records to determine which customers must be contacted for collection of overdue accounts, provide problem solving solutions and forward-thinking opportunities/solutions for customers.
- They organize collection workload according to degree and amount of delinquency
- They write letters or form letters for use in collection attempts or legal attempts.
- They refer accounts to supervisor for repossession and legal actions against debtors.
- Serve as a point of contact for customers in response to inquiries and unresolved issues.
- Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.
