This highly respected freight transportation company is seeking a multi-tasking, communicative, team oriented, versatile accounts payable, administrative professional to join their team.  You will be relied on to oversee the freight bills, bills of lading, payments, and communication to carriers and vendors.  You will activate your math and calculation expertise along with your timely written and verbal communication to multiple professional business partners.  The position is 100% onsite and has the opportunity to transition to permanent status for the talented professional who exceeds expectations.  Please note, the current office is located in North St. Paul and will be moving to Mendota Heights in May 2025.  The chosen talented professional must embrace the move of sites on May 1st, 2025.

salary: $22 - $25 per hour

Responsibilities

Accountable for administrative, operational, accounts payable, and client communication duties for a highly respected freight transportation company.

• Process freight bills, bills of lading, and accessorial receipts 
• Upload pertinent information into the transportation management system
• Identify, research, and resolve gaps of documentation and missing paperwork
• Validate load and order information by calculating and reconciling
• Audit costs and counts for 100% accuracy
• Audit freight bill invoices for 100% accuracy
• Interact daily with carriers, vendors, and internal business partners
• Research and drive to resolution issues with missing paperwork, aging balances, account discrepancies, and other ad hoc inquiries
• Process vendor payments 
• Accountable for reviewing and processing expense reports
• Maintain carrier, vendor, and other payee records in the transportation management system as well as within Quickbooks
• Work closely with your leader on special projects, policies, procedures, and mitigating risk
