Responsibilities
- Source and procure materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to support production schedules and business operations.
- Obtain competitive quotes, assess delivery timelines, and negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards while fostering continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to identify cost-saving opportunities through design modifications, material alternatives, and process efficiencies.
- Evaluate and select domestic and international suppliers based on pricing, quality, and service capabilities.
- Address issues with defective or unacceptable products by working with quality control teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve problems quickly.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate materials and components are available to maintain uninterrupted production.
- Maintain detailed records of supplier performance, pricing agreements, and order history to drive reporting and process improvements.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal teams to support departmental goals and enhance collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing and procurement
- Proficiency in SAP or other ERP/MRP systems required.
