Responsibilities
As a Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in managing product assortments, inventory planning, and sales strategies across retail and e-commerce channels in the US and Canada. This role requires analytical skills, leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure maximum sales and margin performance.
- strong knowledge/experience in retail math (calculate figures and amounts)
- Ability to lead, coach and develop direct reports to hit milestones, maximize performance, and achieve professional goals
- Experience: 7+ years in a buying or merchandising role, preferably in Direct-to-Consumer environments.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP/Business Objects is a MUST.
- strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Leadership capabilities to manage and coach team members.
- Develop and implement assortment strategies for retail and eCommerce channels to meet sales, margin, and turnover goals.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams that include planning, allocation, visual merchandising, and supply planning.
- Evaluate and react to sales performance to improve buying strategies.
- Manage markdown strategies to maximize margin potential.
- Supervise Associate and Assistant Buyers to ensure timely project deliverables.
