A valued client of ours is looking for a Billing Specialist. This temporary-to-hire, hybrid role. They are located in south Jacksonville - very accessible from JTB. This is a wonderful, local company with a great reputation and excellent training. This position does not require an accounting education. It could yield career advancement opportunities in the future and great benefits upon going permanent.

salary: $23 - $25 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: Associate

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand contract terms to ensure that accurate billing is provided to the client for cost plus and lump sum projects
• Knowledge of setting up billing terms such as applying multipliers, overhead rates for multiple states, fixed fees, taxes, and retainage to meet the client’s invoicing requirements
• Monthly review of project labor and expense charges for accuracy and appropriate project placement by providing monthly prebills to all project managers
• Monitor accounts receivable and assist project managers with their collection efforts
• Reconcile variances
• Working with multiple billing systems outside of our internal billing system, working with various invoice spreadsheets
• Maintain folders/files for all projects, with all the appropriate documents, including expenses, consultant invoices and monthly invoices, in accordance with standard procedures
