About the Role: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist the Dangerous Cargo Office (DGO) with an increasing volume of email correspondence and related matters. This contract role offers an exciting opportunity to support the team as we prepare for a busy period in January and February 2025.
As part of the DGO team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing Email Correspondence: Flagging and organizing emails containing crucial information for our Dangerous Goods representatives.
- Troubleshooting Support: Enhancing the team's ability to resolve issues effectively between customers, motor carriers, and terminals.
- Surge Preparation: Assisting the team in preparing for the anticipated increase in workload during the peak period of January and February 2025.
- strong Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in managing and flagging critical emails.
- Multitasking: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle various responsibilities.
- Experience: Previous experience in logistics, dangerous goods handling, or a similar field is advantageous, though not essential.
