- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in [industry-specific details, e.g., manufacturing, construction, etc.].
- Experience with OSHA regulations and other safety compliance standards.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing safety programs and procedures.
- Certifications:
- OSHA 30-hour certification (preferred).
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification (preferred).
- First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).
- Skills:
- Well rounded knowledge of safety laws, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Thorough interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels.
- Ability to lead safety initiatives and foster a safety-first culture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.

Responsibilities
- Safety Program Development & Implementation: Develop and implement safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations. Promote a safety culture and conduct training for employees.
- Risk Assessment & Hazard Identification: Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards. Advise on mitigation and corrective actions. Investigate accidents and recommend preventive measures.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other safety standards. Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain safety records, incident logs, and regulatory reports. Analyze trends and report safety performance to management.
- Safety Equipment & PPE Management: Oversee the use, maintenance, and proper handling of safety equipment and PPE.
- Emergency Preparedness & Response: Develop and manage emergency response plans. Conduct safety drills and coordinate with response teams.
- Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with department heads to integrate safety measures into operations. Serve as the primary contact for safety concerns and ensure effective communication across the organization.
