We’re seeking a Field Environmental Specialist to join our team! Responsibilities include handling, segregating, packing, and inspecting chemical waste per Federal/State/Local regulations, preparing manifests and labels, inspecting storage areas for compliance, and profiling new waste streams. Candidates must have excellent communication skills as direct customer interaction is required. An Associate's Degree in a science-related field and a valid driver’s license are required. CDL training provided. Weekend overtime is mandatory (16 shifts/year). This is a hands-on role with room for growth!

Responsibilities

• Initial responsibilities entail handling, segregating, packing, and inspecting chemical waste in accordance with Federal/State/Local regulations and our company policies and procedures.
• Other responsibilities to include, but not limited to, preparing packing lists, labels and manifests, inspecting storage areas and drums for leaks or spills; maintaining compliance with labeling regulations; sampling and profiling of new waste streams or waste materials needing testing.
• The successful candidate needs to have excellent oral and written skills being a direct contact with customers via email, phone and in-person.
• The successful candidate must be willing to obtain a commercial driver’s license to support key operations when necessary.
• All staff would be required to work 16 weekend overtime eligible shifts to staff events on busy weekends. Additional overtime is available but approximately 16 weekends are mandatory. No overtime weekends fall on holiday weekends.
