Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Oversee employee relations, addressing concerns diplomatically and referring to the EAP when needed.
- Manage compensation plans, job descriptions, and bi-weekly payroll for exempt, non-exempt, piecemeal employees, and commission calculations.
- Administer benefits plans, including working with brokers for open enrollment.
- Ensure OSHA compliance by maintaining safety logs and conducting workers' comp audits.
- Lead recruitment efforts, create job descriptions, and manage the hiring process.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities, including town hall meetings, anniversaries, holiday parties, and more.
- Act as a strategic partner, guiding the company through its growth stages while managing the day-to-day HR operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources (preferred); PHR certification is a plus.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now and HR compliance practices.
- strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees across multiple generations.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus for collaborating with diverse employees.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee relations issues with empathy and professionalism.
- A strategic thinker with attention to detail and a knack for solving complex challenges independently.
