Responsibilities
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery responses, and correspondence.
- Manage attorneys’ calendars, schedule depositions, hearings, and other court-related events.
- Coordinate communication with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- File legal documents with state and federal courts, both electronically and in-person, ensuring compliance with filing deadlines and procedures.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files, ensuring all materials are updated and accessible.
- Conduct basic legal research and compile case-related information as requested.
- Assist with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Track and manage deadlines for filings, hearings, and other critical case milestones.
- Process incoming mail and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Handle billing, timekeeping, and expense reporting tasks for assigned attorneys.
