Responsibilities

• All monthly financial close procedures such as: preparation of journal entries, accruals, analyzing/researching variances to plan to ensure the maintenance of a complete and accurate General Ledger.
• Preparing accurate and timely account reconciliations
• Preparing financial statements and supporting commentary for management review.
• Preparing post - monthly close reporting on specific P&L areas such as travel, supplies, payroll, etc.
• Partnering with both finance and non-finance departments to resolve any accounting discrepancies.
• Participating in the development of new strategies and programs designed to increase productivity and improve the accuracy of the financial accounting systems.
• Working closely with Business Planning & Analysis to make recommendations on forecasts.
• Perform special ad-hoc projects as necessary.
