A manufacturer in Georgetown, Kentucky is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team.  The Accounting Manager will report to the Secretary and Treasurer and is responsible for the accounting, reporting, and variance analysis of key business initiatives along with ongoing operations. They are also responsible for maintaining records and financial transactions and managing the accounting department. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package.  

salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing the company’s annual budget and leads monthly trend analysis comparing actual results to the budget.
• Analyzes the effectiveness of sales and marketing expenditures.
• Participates in and oversees the month-end close process.
• Records monthly inventory adjustments.
• Creates and maintains reports for the accounting department.
• Supervises the accounts payable and payroll functions.
• Identifies opportunities for process and workflow improvements within accounting and finance.
• Oversees the company’s sales tax process and the completion of the company’s annual IRS filings.
• Manages and actively participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of team members.
• Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations.
