Our client is a manufacturer looking to identify an AP Accountant for their accounting team. This person will report to the Accounting Manager on a team of 4. The ideal employee is comfortable with general ledger duties and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle Accounts Payable for a portion of the Company Vendors.
• Process RMAs, resolve Invoice/Credit Memo and Purchase Order discrepancies.
• Reconcile vendor statements against internal records and make corrections as needed.
• Process payments processing weekly.
• General ledger maintenance, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards.
• Reconcile and maintain sub-ledgers, align with the general ledger
• Administration of the company’s P-Card program.
• Record P-Card transactions in the general ledger
• Ensure all general ledger entries have appropriate support documentation.
• Analyze and provide explanations for fluctuations.
• Prepare complex Account Reconciliations for month-end close.
  • Receipts Goods Not Vouchered account, Corporate Credit Card Payable Account, and some various Cash Accounts.
• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries.
