- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position.
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with PeopleSoft is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work ethic and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage general ledger accounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and support account analysis and research.
- Process and review monthly accrual entries, bank reconciliations, and prepaid expense reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including variance analysis and trend evaluation.
- Verify and file personal property tax returns completed by E&Y.
- Process TAMS billings and reconciliations.
- Support the new store/renumbering process and assist with load and balance forecasts.
- Train, document, and update accounting processes and procedures for the accounting staff.
- Assist with the monthly close process and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Evaluate trends, investigate unusual or unexpected variances, and make corrections as needed.
- Assist field personnel with questions and provide guidance on accounting issues.
- Promote teamwork between operational groups and departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Perform other ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned.
