Responsibilities

- Obtains or reviews their demographics & fiscal information
- Collects Co-Pays, enters payments and closes batch at the end of the day
- Obtains Insurance referrals and prior authorizations.
- Cross-cover other team members, assist with special projects, and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required. Additional post-high school training is a plus.
- At least 1 year of relevant healthcare or administrative experience.
- Proficiency with EPIC (preferred) or other EMR systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Advanced computer skills and familiarity with practice operations and standards.
