Responsibilities

Organize and evaluate the accounting impact for new and/or modified lease contracts in accordance with ASC 842.

Manage the month end close process for lease accounting, including recording monthly lease journal entries and preparing all reconciliations, and monthly variance analysis.

Responsible for documentation of the Company’s assessment of leases treatment in accordance with GAAP.

Work closely with the AP team to reconcile and initiate lease payments, ensuring they are processed completely, accurately, and timely.

Ideal candidate must be able to prepare ad hoc reports as needed to support routine reviews, along with accounting, and financial reporting.

Ensure proper accounting for all fixed assets including capitalizations, transfers, disposals, depreciation and impairment is completed in a timely manner 

Coordinate with Operations and Development teams on fixed assets for opening and closing store locations

Ensure and complete fixed assets roll forwards and reconciliations are completed in a timely manner 

Ensure providers, AP, and property taxes are paid accurately and timely manner along with related journal entries and reconciliations are completed as well.

Ensure that all processes and procedures are documented and updated in a timely manner according to company policy.

842 Lease Experience (3 years of experience is required)

NetSuite Financials (3 years of experience is required)

CPA Candidate (3 years of experience is preferred)

Fixed Assets (5 years of experience is preferred)

Property Accounting (5 years of experience is preferred)

Property Tax (5 years of experience is preferred)
