We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Buyer to join our team and take a leadership role in managing strategic sourcing activities. This position requires advanced expertise in sourcing, cost reduction, supplier relationship management, and strategic purchasing activities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving transformation initiatives, developing sourcing strategies, and mentoring team members.  

salary: $50 - $60 per hour

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing: Initiate and drive sourcing and cost reduction initiatives while developing and implementing segment strategies for assigned commodities.
• Supplier Management: Establish supplier relationship management processes, set continuous improvement goals/programs, and negotiate contracts.
• Market Monitoring: Analyze market dynamics to anticipate impacts on materials/services availability and pricing.
• Internal Collaboration: Partner with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, develop buyer/market profiles, monitor marketplace trends, and define acceptable service levels.
• Transformation Leadership: Lead high-level initiatives in digitalization and sustainability, fostering innovation and aligning with organizational goals.
• Project Management: Manage complex projects and processes independently with minimal supervision.
• Mentorship: Coach and review the work of junior team members, fostering professional growth within the team.
