About the role:
As a Collections Representative, your responsibilities will include contacting customers, negotiating effectively to identify solutions, and helping them resolve their balances with empathy and respect. Previous experience in collections is required. Success in this role also demands comfort and proficiency in handling difficult customers through challenging situations.
Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound and outbounds calls to customers regarding overdue payments
- Find solutions for customers who are past due on their account to get them back up to date
- Follow up with customers via email and answer any questions that they may have
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date information of customer interactions
- Move existing customers through various stages of delinquency with a proficiency to brings loans to a current status
- Follow all collection laws and legal practice
- 1 or more years of collections experience is required
- Previous experience in a call center environment
- Excelent phone communication and verbal skills, with the ability to actively listen and provide assertive solutions.
- Experience using collection systems and automated dialers, with the ability to talk and type simultaneously.
- Knowledge of FDCPA and FCRA practices
- Basic proficiency in navigating multiple computer systems.
- Prior experience using Salesforce is a plus
- This position offers a pay rate of $25 an hour with the opportunity to earn a monthly bonus.
