Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure raw metals (e.g., steel, aluminum, copper) and other materials essential to production.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and compliance with industry standards.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to maximize cost savings while maintaining quality.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure consistent material supply for production needs.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality control teams to align procurement with operational goals.
- Analyze market trends, material availability, and price fluctuations to inform purchasing decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, resolving any issues related to deliveries or quality.
- Manage purchase orders and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Monitor and assess supplier performance, addressing any risks or opportunities for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, including advancements in metal production and sourcing techniques.
