About Us: A busy Medical Monitoring practice is looking for a motivated Medical Payment Collector to join their team. If you’re organized, proactive, and ready to help keep things running smoothly by managing claims and collections, we’d love to meet you!
What You’ll Do:
- Keep track of aging reports for assigned insurance carriers
- Reach out to insurers to discuss settlements and resolve outstanding balances
- Review and respond to EOBs, denials, and rejected claims
- Collect, review, and appeal any unpaid or underpaid claims to make sure they’re handled quickly
- Record all appeal attempts in the in-house software to track updates
- Post payments accurately to keep accounts up-to-date
- Follow up with 30-35 claims per day
- Full on the job training is provided
- Strong work ethic and a knack for staying organized
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and good overall computer skills
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and follow up on accounts in a timely way
