A client of ours in the manufacturing industry located in Jeffersonville, Indiana is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join their team.  This position is resposible for supporting the HR department and reception area.  This position will engage in new hire onboarding, new hire orientation, new hire file management, and benefits administration.  This is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package. 

salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Human Resources department and Reception operations
• Aiding in the recruitment process for new hires and assisting with the orientation and onboarding of new employees
• Monitoring and reporting employee attendance and gathering employment and tax-related information
• Posting job openings and organizing resumes and applications
• Scheduling candidate interviews and providing support during the interview process
• Preparing files for new employees and ensuring completion of background and reference checks
• Introducing new employees to the organization (setting up log-ins, workstations, email accounts, etc.)
• Managing and updating HR files and databases by keeping employee records current, including benefits and employment status
• Tracking records related to performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
• Assisting in file audits to ensure all necessary employee documentation is collected and maintained
• Supporting payroll and benefits reconciliation efforts.
