Are you an experienced logistics professional with strong leadership skills? We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety within our Kentucky Distribution Center.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience in a shipping/distribution leadership role.
- strong knowledge of shipping procedures, including UPS processing, raw material receiving (steel, etc.), and special packaging requirements.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and draw valid conclusions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with employees, management, customers, and vendors.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists, freight documents, and tape measures.
- Physical capability to occasionally stand and walk, as well as manual dexterity to handle shipping documentation and packaging materials.
salary: $52,000 - $58,240 per year

Responsibilities
Operational Oversight: Manage daily distribution center operations including receiving,
storing, and shipping goods.
Team Management: Supervise and provide leadership to the distribution team, ensuring
all team members are meeting performance goals.
o Audit orders and picklists prior to shipments
Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, manage stock levels, and
conduct periodic inventory audits.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe working
environment for all staff. Including forklift safety training.
Scheduling: Plan and organize shifts for the distribution team members, ensuring
adequate coverage for daily operations.
Coordination: Liaise with the Corporate Logistics Coordinator to ensure alignment with
broader logistics strategies and goals.
Issue Resolution: Address and resolve operational issues, such as shipping delays or
inventory discrepancies.
