A Materials Buyer is needed in Cartersville area for an American corporation that services Wholesale and Retail clients for the manufacture of Steel metal roll up doors.  The Materials Buyer is responsible for procuring spares and parts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery by utilizing MRP.

salary: $17 - $18 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•
Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary.
•
Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers.
•
Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
•
Perform buying duties when necessary.
•
Review open purchase orders regularly and coordinate with vendors for any resolutions needed.
•
Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
•
Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
•
Set up new vendors and/or suppliers.
•
Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists.
•
Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
•
Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports for consideration and presentation.
•
Contribute to team effort by assisting with additional tasks as needed.
