We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Jacksonville, FL (32207). This role is 100% in-office and requires a candidate with a strong accounting background, particularly in billing, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), reconciliations, payroll, and invoicing. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks Desktop and servicing software platforms, as well as a solid understanding of construction accounting. MUST HAVE 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE in Accounting 

salary: $45,000 - $48,000 per year

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions accurately and efficiently.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Process payroll in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Handle invoicing and maintain financial records with precision.
• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop and other servicing software platforms to manage financial transactions.
• Support the accounting team with financial reporting and provide data to the CPA quarterly.
• Assist with quotes, purchase orders (POs), and vendor payments as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is required.
• strong understanding of billing, AP, AR, reconciliations, and payroll.
• Experience working with servicing software platforms is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team-oriented environment.
