Responsibilities
Tenant Management:
- Screening tenants: Conduct background checks, interviews, and reference checks to ensure reliable tenants.
- Lease agreements: Draft and enforce leases, renewals, and amendments.
- Rent collection: Ensure timely collection of rent payments and manage late fees or arrears.
- Tenant communication: Address tenants’ questions, concerns, or complaints promptly. Legal and Regulatory Compliance:
- Adherence to laws: Ensure that the property complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including fair housing laws, health and safety codes, and building codes.
- Evictions: Handle the eviction process when necessary, ensuring all legal procedures are followed.
- Insurance management: Oversee property insurance and claims processing.
- 5. Marketing and Leasing:
- Advertising vacancies: Use various channels to market the property and attract potential tenants.
- Showings and tours: Arrange property tours for prospective tenants and address their questions.
