Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Experience with Percent of Completion (POC) Accounting: Must be able apply POC accounting principles to track and report on long-term projects, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and cost allocation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Financial Reporting: Conduct thorough preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Cost Controls: Perform analysis on spending trends by drilling down on major cost categories. Be able to tell the story of changes and outliers with the relevant data.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Process Improvement: Identify, implement and maintain process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
