Our client, serving over five million customers across 11 states, is looking for a Sr. Project Cost Analyst to join their Columbus, OH office. In this role, you'll support project managers by coordinating cost analysis, monitoring budgets, and ensuring the accurate reporting of large, complex projects. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors, you’ll help integrate cost and scheduling data into the project management process. Responsibilities

As a SR. Project Cost Analyst, job duties include:

• Support PMs in preparing and updating project documentation, meetings, and planning activities.
• Prepare project spending forecasts, monitor budget variances, and assist in Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) activities.
• Perform estimate vs. actuals analysis and provide input for annual budgets, capital forecasts, and improvement requisitions.
• Work with PMs and stakeholders to perform variance reporting, establish baseline budgets, and create project breakdown structures.
• Track and analyze project data, ensuring project system records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Coordinate the work order process from creation to project completion.
• Assist in the construction contracting process to ensure alignment with project budgets and schedules.

Skills:

• 6 + years working as a SR. Project Cost Analyst working in utility-specific operations, project management, cost tracking analysis, forecasting, and project budgeting, with a working knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with project cost management systems, earned value management, and scheduling systems.
• Demonstrated time management, attention to detail, and the ability to achieve goals within deadlines.
