This Asphault Company is one of the largest paving and milling companies in Southern Middle Tennessee. We operate in numerous counties across the middle Tennessee region. With over 50 years experience in asphalt productions and highway construction, we are an organization committed to safety and operational success. *Pay Range $49,920 - $58,240 based on experince.   *Night and weekend shift work may be required, based on customer demand. *Provided:  extensive benefits, strong compensation,  company vehicle.   Company funded employee life insuance, 401k, Medical; Start accruing PTO in 6 months.

Responsibilities

Auto Mechanic Responsibilities:
• Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
• Analyzing diagnostic test results.
• Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
• Checking vehicle lighting systems.
• Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
• Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
• Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
• Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.

Auto Mechanic Requirements:
• Valid drivers license.
• Aptitude for mathematics and science.
• Advanced knowledge of Auto engine components.
• Good IT and diagnostic skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds.
• Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
• Attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Good organization skills

Preferred Experience/Certifications:
• Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering.
• ASE Auto Certification advantageous.

• Experience in automotive maintenance and repair



The essential functions of this role include:

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
